“It seems that I got myself a stalker,” I told Prudence without taking my eyes off Pontius. He had poured himself another glass of Hennessy and remained staring at his big box of electronic distraction, oblivious that he wasn't home alone like during the year that had passed.
“You know it's rude to start a conversation and leave without even saying goodbye,” said Prudence from behind me.
“That conversation wasn't meant to be and you know it. It was an accident.” I faced her. “This. Is. Not.”
Prudence flinched as two masked men began creeping behind Pontius out of nowhere.
Prudence also appears in the novel I Killed My Friends and It Thrilled Me.
