The sunset of Verona disappeared, replaced by the almost artificial-like version of Cinnabar City. The sight of the buildings and towers surrounding us burned annoyance in Prudence's eyes.
“I didn't ask to be brought here. Bring me back to my sister's house,” she told me.
I walked towards the edge of the rooftop we were on. “Your mouth speaks one thing but your heart another.”
“Are you a mindreader now?” Prudence remained where she stood.
“Deep inside you have a suspicion about who I really am. Though, you remain skeptical.”
A man appeared on the rooftop of the next building.
Prudence also appears in the novel I Killed My Friends and It Thrilled Me.
