The last cell of the wardrobe ghoul evaporated into nothingness as Prudence pulled her purple lasso to her feet.
“I'm torn between congratulating you and berating you for meddling into affairs you shouldn't,” I informed Prudence from the comfort of a pink bed with unicorns.
She walked to the little girl cowering in the corner of the bedroom, ignoring me, and pulled her into a hug. “It's gone now. You are safe,” she told her. Prudence then turned to me and gave me Annie's final stern gaze before leaping through the window as the girl's parents arrived in the bedroom.
Prudence also appears in the novel I Killed My Friends and It Thrilled Me.
