Without any hint or warning, the man on the rooftop of the building jumped to the busy Cinnabar street below us.
“At this point, you should know what I am,” I told Prudence as she rushed past me without any hint or warning as well before jumping off the rooftop to follow the man.
My solitude lasted for a few seconds only. Ferried by a big hand-like transport made of yellow light, Prudence returned to the rooftop with the frightened man, clutching at her arm. “You are Death,” she said on her return. “And I am a protector of life.”
Prudence also appears in the novel I Killed My Friends and It Thrilled Me.
